Aksel Rifman Wins Best Director Award in Utrecht

Nador-born filmmaker Aksel Rifman has been awarded the Best Director prize for his Amazigh film “A Corpse on the Shore” during the International Film Festival held in Utrecht, Netherlands. The screening was met with strong reactions from both the jury and the audience, who engaged with the film in a warm and emotional atmosphere.

Rifman describes the film as a deeply personal exploration of friendship and social relationships, focusing on the emotional complexity of human connections. Through this project, he aimed to capture intimate human experiences and translate them into a cinematic narrative that resonates beyond borders.

Following the award, the director expressed his gratitude and pride, saying that the most meaningful part of the experience was seeing the audience emotionally connect with the film.
