Dutch Royal Medal awarded to Saïd Bendada from Tiztoutine in recognition of his civic work

Saïd Bendada, a native of the Tiztoutine community in the Nador region, was awarded the Dutch Royal Medal, the Order of Orange-Nassau (Orde van Oranje-Nassau), during the Netherlands’ King’s Day celebrations. This honor recognizes his years of active involvement in civic and community work within Dutch society. The Order is bestowed upon individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the community, and it serves as official recognition of Bendada’s role in promoting social cohesion.
Bendada is a member of the Tiztoutine communal council and a council member of the Eastern Group of Territorial Communities for Distribution (Groupe des Collectivités Territoriales l’Orient pour la Distribution). He has succeeded in building an influential presence within the Dutch social fabric through social and voluntary initiatives, including promoting positive integration, countering extremist rhetoric, and building bridges of communication between different components of society. This has earned him the trust of institutions and established him as a recognized civil actor.
A Parallel Presence on Both Sides
Locally, Bendada continues his presence in the Tiztoutine commune, adopting a direct, communicative approach with residents and following up on their daily concerns. He also continues his humanitarian initiatives within Morocco by supporting underprivileged families and contributing to social and religious projects, including the construction and restoration of mosques.
In a parallel path, Bendada has ventured into investment in Morocco, leveraging his experience gained in the Netherlands. He currently lives between the two countries, with a clear inclination towards eventually settling permanently in his home country.
